Why not make La Daviais in the Normandy countryside the base for your next cycle touring holiday? The summers here are warm to hot but rarely too uncomfortable to ride. The surrounding area is ideal cycling country: the roads are relatively traffic free yet well surfaced and we can supply information on documented cycle routes (ranging from easy to challenging) from our local tourist office in nearby Saint James. In addition, we can give you our own recommendations.

The gîte is particularly suitable for cyclists. We are able to take medium to large groups: up to 20 is possible! We've a selection of rooms from a big family room, doubles, twins through to a simple bed in the dormitory! See our accommodation page for more details. Also, we think you'll find our swimming pool very attractive at the end of the day's riding and if the weather should turn inclement on your ride out, our well equipped drying room is always very useful. Furthermore, given a day's notice, we're happy to prepare an evening meal for your group on your return from the day's riding. We've a large secure garage next to the gîte which can easily take 20+ bikes.

We're very easy to get to. Brittany Ferries runs a superb overnight ferry service from Portsmouth to St.Malo which is just 50km. from us. Also, Condor Ferries offer services to St.Malo from Poole or Weymouth via the Channel Islands including a Fast Cat service.
